Ganapathi Agnihotri

Ganapathi Agnihothri, Agni to those who know him well was born in Kumta situated in the scenic Western Ghats. He grew up and studied art in the cultural city of Mysore and settled down and persued journalism in the internationally known Tech city of Bengaluru. All these various cities have contributed in different ways towards his development as an Artist. Agni Completed his Diploma in Drawing and Painting from Sri Kalaniketan School of Art and also has acquired his Diploma in Art Master from the same institution. He has done his masters from Mysore University.

The Artist has persued Art with passion and held innumerable group shows not only in Karnataka but all over India.

Other than this he has held more than 14 solo shows in Karnataka, Goa, Pune and Mumbai. He has also participated in prestigious shows at Mumbai. He has also been the recipient of numerous awards for his Art, significant among which are Karnataka Lalithkala Academy Annual Award for Etching Print,Graphic(Printmaking) fellowship from Karnataka Lalithkala Academy and Fellowship of Ministry of culture, Govt of India. He has also won Mysore Dasara Awards for 1999, 2000, 2001-2004, In 2025 Solo sponsorship Award by Govt of Telangana, in 2024 F.N. Souza National Award, in 2002 The South Central Zone Cultural Center consolation Award. His Art works are displayed in various corporate houses as well as in many Art Gallerys & Museums. Agni, is known for his abstract and contemporary Art works which impress the viewer both with their concept as well as color composition.
